Our Story

The Copper Hen is a farm-to-table Cakery in the city of Minneapolis. We create baked-from-scratch desserts of all sorts, using locally sourced ingredients from farms right here in Minnesota. The anticipated opening is Spring of 2014.

The Cakery was started by Danielle Bjorling and (husband) Chris Bjorling. Danielle, has 10+ years experience in baking, cake decorating and catering. Her dream to one day open a Cakery has finally come true with the help of her husband Chris. Chris is a CPA by trade, and not too shabby in the kitchen either, although he wisely leaves most of the baking to Danielle. Together they are on this all-natural adventure providing the city of Minneapolis with fresh farm-to-table desserts.
